Sustainability

Water Saving: Our world-renown composting toilets are flush free and save around two and a half million litres of water each year! We harvest rainwater onsite, which is pumped, stored, tested and distributed to our sustainable gas-fired onsite showers. This same rainwater is also stored and tested from a quality control perspective to provide the best possible crystal clear drinking water to our patrons.

Green Team: Falls Byron has a dedicated team on site who encourage people to get involved in our green initiatives and keep the site clean.

Food Donations: Fresh, untouched food is donated to Byron’s Liberation Larder to feed people in need around our area.

Tree Planting: An impressive 5,000 native seedlings have been planted on site at North Byron Parklands by our staff and patrons. Encouraging people to get involved with the site and help it grow as the festival does itself.

Bin To Win!: On the last day of the eventwe ask patrons to bring us bags of recycling or camping equipment being left behind. For every bag or item returned our patrons go into the draw to win VIP tickets to the show the following year!

Community Group Engagement: We work with many local groups, to help them expand and grow, reaching out to more people and bringing positive change to their communities. Check out this great bunch of local community organisations we are happy to call our friends, Bay Fm, Brunswick Heads Public School, Brunswick Heads SLSC, Brunswick Heads Visitor Centre, Brunswick Valley Landcare, Burringbar Community Association, Byron Bay Community Centre, Cabarita Youth Service, Crabbes Creek Community Hall, Mullumbimby Public School, Ocean Shores Community Centre, Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre, Shaping Outcomes Byron Bay and WIRES Byron Bay & Northern Rivers.
