Turn your trip to Falls into a larger holiday. There are so many amazing places to discover in the surrounding areas of Byron, here are a few goodies worth making a stop at.
Brunswick Heads – The best place in the shire to chill out and cool down. Jump on one of our local buses for the quick trip (it takes just 10 minutes) to this untouched seaside village. Bruns features long white sandy beaches, great shopping and cafes plus one of the finest spots for lunch and locals favourite – the historic Hotel Brunswick!
Tweed Valley – The old highway from Byron to the Gold Coast weaves through World Heritage sub-tropical rainforest and is a great day trip where you can climb Mt Warning, walk through natures arch or visit the quirky town of Uki.
Border Ranges – To get here you head back to Murwillumbah, and out to Tyalgum. There is a beautiful drive that looks back over Mt Warning and surrounds from a place called ‘The Pinnacle’. Epic sunrise or sunset spot.
Mullumbimby – This is where a lot of the more alternative/forward thinking folk have migrated to from Byron these days, a great place to people watch, strike an interesting conversation and enjoy some wholesome, locally grown food and produce.
Lamington National Park – Located in the Gold Coast’s hinterland, this national park features Australia’s largest remnant of subtropical rainforest covering the deep valleys and steep cliffs of the McPherson Range, reaching elevations of 1100m on the Lamington Plateau.
