Back in the game after a small absence, Melbourne’s lords of cut and paste Slum Sociable will be hitting this years festival full of running. Born out of a university task, it was a fast start for these lads. Releasing their first single Anyway in 2015, the duo of Edward Quinn and Miller Upchurch kicked things off by playing a succession of Australia’s biggest festivals. The commanding vocal talents of Upchurch collided with the complex musical virtuosity of Quinn and magic was made. After a few years of hard gigging and industry buzz, Slum Sociable’s debut self-titled album has just been released - immediately being anointed as triple j’s feature album.
