  • When do tickets go on sale?
    Friends of Falls Pre-Sale commences at 12pm local time Friday 31 August. VISA Checkout Pre-Sale commences at 9am local time Monday 03 September. General Sales commence 9am local time Thursday 06 September.
  • Is there a limit to how many tickets I can buy?
    You can purchase up to 6 Festival Tickets and 6 Camping Tickets per transaction for the pre-sales and General Public onsale. Please note, you will be unable to book more than 6 event tickets and 6 camping tickets per Ticketmaster account.
  • How long do I have to purchase a ticket?
    There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as you progress through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly (but carefully) as possible. Hot tip to ensure you move through the purchase process quicker - create a Ticketmaster account prior to tickets going on sale!
  • Over 18 Event?
    Falls Lorne, Byron and Fremantle are strictly 18+. Marion Bay is our all ages event.
  • I need to contact someone about ticketing?
    For all questions relating to ticket purchases, delivery, payment etc. please email Ticketmaster at [email protected] or call 136 100.
  • Do I need to create an account to purchase tickets?
    To purchase tickets, you can create/sign in using a Ticketmaster account. It's a super quick process so you'll be fine! Alternatively, if you already have a Ticketmaster account, we suggest getting the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. Remember to triple check your passwords, delivery address and billing information now, so you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order. Head to Ticketmaster.com.au now and log in to your account to get started.
  • What payment methods are available?
    Payment methods accepted will be: Visa Checkout and major credit cards. 
  • Can I purchase tickets to two different events in the one transaction?
    Sorry, it is not possible to purchase for multiple events in one transaction.
  • Is there a Tassie Locals discount this year?
    There sure is and it's pretty good!   • What is 'Ticket Forward'?
    Once ticket suppression is lifted later in the year, ticket purchasers will be able to distribute their crew’s tickets by using Ticket Forward. Here’s how it works: http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/ticketforward
  • Will I need a Vehicle Pass?
    Only Lorne or Byron Bay ticket holders will need a Vehicle Pass if they intend to drive to the show. Details on Vehicle Passes and on sale dates will be released later in the year.
  • What happens if I have a different ticket type to my friends?
    You have to arrive together to camp together and you can only enter the festival on the day that your ticket is valid. You must also camp at your allocated location, although you can still visit your friend’s site. No space reservations are allowed. Make sure you set a meeting time and place in advance to catchup.
  • How do the wristbands work at the event?
    Once your ticket is scanned at the gates you must hold on to it for additional scanning at the wristbanding stations. Once you’ve setup your campsite head to the wristbanding areas with your ID and ticket, here you will exchange this for a wristband that you must wear for the duration of the festival. There are no replacements for lost wristbands; the only way they can be removed is with scissors. Wristbands will not be replaced and cannot be transferred to friends.
  • Do I need a special code for the Visa Checkout Pre-Sale? Am I guaranteed tickets?
    You don't need a code for the Visa Checkout Pre-Sale, all you need is a Visa Checkout Account. Tickets are NOT guaranteed, some ticket types may sell out faster than others – so get in quick to avoid disappointment.
  • Can I purchase different ticket types in one single transaction?
    No sorry - you can only purchase up to 6 of the same Festival Ticket type per transaction (for Lorne and Byron you can also add up to 6 Camping Tickets). If you need to purchase two different Festival Ticket types, you will need to do so in separate transactions.
  • Are there passouts?
    You may enter and exit the festival by shuttle bus as you like during gate hours, however you must keep your wristband on at all times to gain entrance back onto the site. Please note that you may only come and go by shuttle bus – all cars parked onsite must stay in place until the end of the festival.

  • Are you going to release more acts on the line-up?
    We have released the nationally touring artists. We’re now working bookings which will be tailored specifically to each show.
  • What does a total fire ban mean?
    Falls has a total fire ban imposed which means that we don’t allow any fire, fireworks, cookers, flares, sparklers, gas bottles, bbqs or the like. Anyone found with any of these items will be immediately ejected from the festival and issued with fines.

  • When will playing times be released?
    We will release the full set times in December, for now you can view the daily playing schedules on the line-up page.
  • How can I apply to play at Falls?
    We don’t accept applications to play sorry. We do invite a lot of local acts each and every year; we have our ear to the ground. Positions with the triple j Unearthed slots will open later in the year.
  • Student information requests?
    We don’t respond to student information requests sorry. Please have a good look around our website, we’re sure you will find all of your answers here.
  • Can we bring the kids along?
    Marion Bay – Is an all ages event. This is a festival built for families to enjoy so bring the whole family along, with anyone aged 12 and under admitted free of charge. Children and Ticket Holders under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent, adult legal guardian or adult eligible carer at all times who must be over the age of 25. People other than a parent or legal guardian can be an eligible carer if the child (U18 ticketholder) is in the person’s care with the consent of the parent or legal guardian. You may be required to provide verification of consent, make sure you have this form completed and with you at all times. Ask our staff about the Family Campgrounds and Kids Club programming. Children 12 years and under are welcome free of charge but must be accompanied by a ticket-holding parent or legal guardian at all times.

  • Festival Time

  • I have prescriptive insulin/medicines that need to be stored/refrigerated?
    You can drop these off with the staff at the Medical Centre in the Main Arena for safe storage.
  • What form of ID will I need at the festival?
    You will need one of the following IDs on arrival and on your person throughout the entire event: Current valid Australian driver’s license (with photo) Current Passport Government Issued Proof of Age Card Victorian Keypass International Driver’s License (must contain a photograph)
  • What other items are banned from Falls?

  • Are the campsites powered?
    No, campsites are not powered. Switch off and relax.
  • How much space will we receive to camp onsite?
    It’s big enough for your tent and some outdoor space, but you will be close to your neighbours. Overly elaborate campsites are discouraged, so you will be asked to downsize if you arrive with enough gear to re-create your lounge room.
  • What items are banned from the Main Arena?
    Glass, cans, illegal drugs, skateboards, boogie boards, milk/bread crates, chairs (folding, portable, camping), anything studded (i.e. belts, wristbands etc), weapons of any kind, fireworks, fire twirling devices, warning flares, video and tape recording devices (including GoPro's), professional still cameras (small still cameras ARE allowed), laser lights, umbrellas (use a plastic poncho or a raincoat instead), water pistols, any other items considered illegal or dangerous, animals, drones, selfie sticks.
  • Will there be a medical centre?
    Yes, we have a large and well equipped Medical Centre with trained professionals and emergency services. Head there if you need any help.
  • Do we get to pick our camping spot?
    No, you will be allocated a camping space on arrival. To camp with friends you must arrive in a convoy, you cannot reserve spaces for people arriving later.
  • Will there be a Family Campground?
    Yes - we will have a campground created for families with kids, with everything you'll need for a comfy stay.
  • Can I smoke at the event?
    You can smoke inside the festival but only at the designated smoking areas. These are located in the Valley Stage arena, Field Stage arena and in the outdoor VIP area.

  • Will there be?

  • Will there be wheelchair access?
    Yes there is, however please keep in mind the east Coast events are remote farms so the terrain is sometimes uneven. For more information regarding special access arrangements, please email [email protected] and we will do everything we can to meet your needs. Please let us know which event you are attending and describe the level of care required. Once onsite, please inform gate staff of your requirements and you will be directed to the most suitable event and camping areas.
  • Will there be ATM’s onsite?
    Yes, we do have cash out facilities but we also suggest that you bring a little ca$h with you. Small transaction fees will apply.
  • Will there be vegetarian, vegan and gf options?
    Of course. There will be a smorgasbord of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.
  • Will there be security and police?
    There will be security and police presence at all shows throughout the festival grounds.
  • Are there toilets and showers in the campgrounds?
    Yes, we have plenty of toilets and showers in the campgrounds that are serviced throughout the festival.

  • Disability Access

    The Marion Bay site is natural terrain which includes both flat areas, slopes and uneven terrain. The amphitheatre in the main arena is naturally sloped and there are both gravel and grass tracks within the event arena. We are happy to provide more specific info about the site to patrons with mobility questions.
    Yes. There is a reserved area close to the main arena, medical facilities and the event staff office. We can also arrange convenient drop offs for disabled patrons, please contact us for more information.
    Yes. There are disabled toilets located at the top of the main arena and just outside of the Field Stage arena. There are also both disabled showers and toilets in the disabled camping area.
    Upon approval of request, Falls Festival will issue Companions with a complimentary ticket, equivalent to the ticket type held by the Companion Card holder. To request a Companion Card ticket, please email [email protected] and include the following details: • Confirmation email from ticketing agent with proof of valid ticket to the event • Scan of valid Companion Card • Name of Companion • Email address of Companion If you have any enquiries regarding companion cards and facilities at the festival, please contact [email protected]
