Party Safe

Falls is all about having a good time with your friends, listening to music and starting off the New Year in fine style. We want you to have an amazing time, but we also want you to be safe. Drugs are illegal out in the world and they’re illegal at Falls too. There will definitely be police and drug dogs onsite at all Falls events to remind you of that, don’t let them ruin your party before you even get started.

All of our events are equipped with very comprehensive medical facilities, if you or your buddy don’t feel right, please check in there. The locations are marked on all maps. You won’t be judged and you won’t be reported to police. Each event will also have an outreach team and chill out area if you need to take a break. The chill out areas are staffed by young volunteers like you – no judgment – just some time out. If you or your friend is in trouble, we implore you to visit either the medical centre or chill out area before it’s too late.

We want all of our patrons to get home safely at the end of Falls and to make 2017 an amazing year.

  • Stay hydrated, there is free drinking water at every bar and at the medical centre and chill out areas.
  • Don’t mix alcohol and drugs, the combo can be lethal.
  • Pace yourself, Falls is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s OK to sit out a round or two!
  • Keep an eye on your friends and make sure you know where all your crew is. You’ll know when one of them is heading for trouble, take them to our medical centre or chill out area before it’s too late.
  • If you feel like you or your friend needs a bit of a break, head to our medical centre or chill out area. The team there is not obliged to notify police if you’ve taken drugs and they won’t tell your parents; they just want to make sure you’re safe.
  • If you can’t make it to a medical centre or chill out area, head to the Camp Marshal or Information Station near where you’re camping. Wherever you are, you won’t be too far from a staff member in a Falls Staff T-Shirt who can help get help.
  • When you’re leaving Falls, don’t get behind the wheel unless you’re safe to drive. There are facilities onsite where you can check your blood alcohol level before you go. Remember, random roadside drug testing may also be implemented.
