Ready to give your kids the family holiday you always wish you’d had? To start planning the ultimate kids’ festival within the festival, check out all the info below.
Camping with kids in tow? The Family Campground is the place to go. The designated family friendly campground is tucked away from the rest of the campers and includes a playground, so the little ones can keep themselves occupied while you’re enjoying that morning cuppa. You’ll also find some handy extras including coin operated hot showers, your own suite of enviro-friendly loos, and The Retro Bean – a fully decked out vintage bus serving up coffee with cookies, chai with choc tops and many more yummy treats for young and old. Please make sure as you arrive at the event to let the gate staff know you wish to camp in the Family Campground.
The ultimate pint-sized kids’ area is here, with a jam-packed program. Exciting for kids, relaxing for parents!
Designed for the young and young at heart, there is literally something for everyone. Smalls Festival caters for every kid – from 0 to tween and everything in between. We have been busy curating a cracker kids’ area for our littlest patrons, with heaps of workshops, activities, games and performances. Smalls Festival is a haven for parents, carers and children to relax, play and discover.
The Imagination Station
Children love to be creative and the imagination station brings a whole lot of messy, crafty fun.
Let your creative crafty minds run wild at the crazy painting table. Always a favourite; including many different styles of painting to try – cotton tips, spotters, rollers, blobbers, stampers and droppers. There is collage, drawing, stencilling, mask making, beading, glitter and glue, play doh and paddle pop stick construction plus much more! This Art space uses lots of recycled or collected materials only and has every bit and bob you can think of from leaves and shells, bottle tops, old glasses frames, belt buckles, buttons, and boxes galore! The children will reuse and upcycle to their creative hearts content and make some unbelievable creations.
Unleash your creative side and join with us to paint the fence that borders our magical Smalls Festival space. Using lots of different brushes, rollers and tools and all the colours of the rainbow we will transform the fence line. Or embrace the good vibes at our flower chalkboards for a different type of texture to work on.
